I have to say that i really like your blog.
I`ve been trough all of your posts, but I decided to comment on this one, coz i think that developing multi-intelligences when teaching is very useful and a unique way to avoid boring classes...

I found very useful your tips on the usage of l1 in class. As English teachers we have learnt to avoid the l1 while teaching and of course there are good reasons to do so, but there are exceptions to it. I think the examples you pointed out are good. more…

I'm sure you are not gonna have problems in a classroom setting if you use these kind of tools or ideas, however being a teacher is not an easy job and of course even though we as teachers use these kind of tools we are gonna have too many problems with classroom management; well that is my personal point of view.

Well, I do think using L1 is neccesary at the beggining, when it is still hard for ss to understand some of the instructions given as well as the difficulty some words present when they are explain with the target language. As teachers, it should be good to use L1 when neccesary and we have to realize when is that. more…
